The Florida swing started with a whimper rather than a rumble: that’s how the Honda ended. This is how Honda ended. Showdown: The DraftKings roster has a trick. The 18th hole, par 5, is the second most difficult hole on the course. Hole 1 is the third most difficult hole (18% birdie), so if you get lucky on hole 2, you’ll get a streak. The other turn (8-9-10) has a couple of easy holes, but #10 is the second hardest hole on the course (only 7% birdies).
2022: 42 players with over 55 DK points…only two of the top six DK price tags made it to this list. Six of DK’s top nine scorers were sold for $7,500 or less.
2021: Seven of the top nine scorers are valued at $7,600 or less (five are under $7,000). This week, all 3 of DK’s top bids were outside of DK’s top 15.
2020: Five of the top eight DK-rated players didn’t play the weekend, but two of the three who did were in the top three DK scoring that week. None of the top 7 DK scorers are worth between $7200 and $8700.
2019: Stars and bushes of SZN. There were 10 players with 75+ DK points… 6 of them for less than $7,500 and 3 for more than $10,500.
2018: All or Nothing. Four of the 10 players with $9,000 or more valuations failed to make the list, but two of the five players with $10,000+ valuations made it into the top 5 DK players of the week (JT and Noren).
2017: Fowler was the second most expensive golfer ($11,900) and paid for it with 113 DK points (the only player to score three figures). However, he is the only one of nine players priced over $8,500 to score 75+ DK points (nine players priced at $7,500 or less scored 75 DK points).
Min WOOOOOOO will certainly be underestimated as a full-time player, but he has been showing quality results over the past six months. He made eight consecutive cuts worldwide, and during that time he never finished below 13th. This included five top-five finishes, the most recent being a hit loss in the first DPWT match in Abu Dhabi. Throughout his career, the Australian has performed the brass repertoire. Vegas is waiting to crush all of our souls. He got off to a strong start in 2023 (by his standards), finishing in the top 25 at the Farmers and Phoenix and making it to the Riviera. Now, Genesis’ results won’t be good, but a closer look at his numbers reveals that a great week of hitting has been overwhelmed by a weak chip and frankly disastrous putting. Cold hitting is nothing new, but he has had some success in his career on the PGA National fields. Again, by his standards. He has competed in the last six Honda Classics and has hit three in the last four years.
