The Bluetti EB3A portable power station comes in a modest cardboard box. The outside of the box contains identifying information about the product, including a basic image of the product. No assembly required, the charging station should already be charged. Users are advised to fully charge the device before use.
I love that it can be charged from a standard AC outlet or a DC canopy. The only downside is that there is no suitable storage space for cables in or near the power plant. I’ve used other portable power stations, like this one, that come with either a cable pouch or a built-in charger storage box. Favorite will be a great addition to this device.
The Bluetti EB3A portable power station has a very nice, easy to read LCD display. It turns on automatically when you power up any of the output connections or simply press one of the power buttons. I really like this feature because it allows you to quickly see how much power is available and what type of power output you are using.
Being able to connect to Bluetti using the mobile app is a real game changer in my opinion. It’s a simple app, but it shows you when something is charging, which power switch it’s connected to, and how much power it’s using. This is useful if you are using power plants remotely. Let’s say it’s charging at one end of the house and you’re working at the other end of the house. It can help to just open the app on the phone and see which device is charging and where the battery is when the power is turned off. You can also disable your phone’s current stream.
The power station allows users to charge up to nine devices simultaneously. The two charging options that I value the most are the wireless charging surface on top of the station and the USB-C PD port that delivers up to 100W of power output. The wireless charging surface allows me to quickly and easily charge my AirPods Pro Gen 2 and iPhone 14 Pro. While wireless charging doesn’t show output on the display, my device seems to charge just as fast as it does on a standard wireless charging surface.
Thanks to the built-in handle, the power station is very easy to carry. I never noticed that the device overheated. A little warm, but soft. Another great use case we have is using a power station to power one of our portable refrigerators. The ICECO JP42 refrigerator is a 12V refrigerator that can be used as a traditional refrigerator or a portable refrigerator. Although this model comes with a cable that plugs into the car port, it would be really nice to be able to use the EB3A power station for power on the go rather than relying on the car battery. We recently went to the park where we planned to hang out a bit and Blueetti kept the fridge running and our snacks and drinks cold.
Our parts of the country have experienced many severe spring storms lately, and while the power lines in our community are underground, our families can rest easy knowing we have backup power in case of a power outage. There are many portable power stations available, but most of them are bulky. The Bluetti is more compact, and while I wouldn’t take it with me on camping trips, it’s easy to move from room to room as needed.
